NFL

American Thanksgiving gives NFL fans three Thursday matchups – provided the coronavirus doesn’t cause more schedule changes. The Houston Texans visit the Detroit Lions to get the action going at 12:30 ET, followed by the Washington Football Team at the Dallas Cowboys. The big matchup between the Pittsburgh Steeler and the Baltimore Ravens that was supposed to go Thursday night has been rescheduled to Sunday after a number of Ravens tested positive for COVID-19. Houston and Dallas are each set as field-goal favourites and are seeing better than 70 per cent of the early point spread bets. The 10-0 Steelers are 4.5-point favourites and the betting public likes them to keep their winning ways going too.

On Sunday, some of the big games on the board include the 7-3 Tennessee Titans visiting the 7-3 Indianapolis Colts, Patrick Mahomes’ Chiefs visiting Tom Brady’s Buccaneers, and a NFC North battle between the Bears and Packers on Sunday Night Football. The Chiefs are the hottest bet of the week as of now, seeing more than 85 per cent of bets to cover as 3.5-point favourites. The Texans are seeing some early bets at +3.5 on the road, while the SNF spread is off the board as questions remain about Chicago’s starting quarterback.

Week 12’s Monday Night Football matchup has the Seattle Seahawks visiting the Philadelphia Eagles as 5-point favourites after opening at -3. After dropping three of four, Seattle rebounded with a big win over Arizona last week to improve to 7-3 straight up, 6-4 against the spread.

The Match III

If you’re looking for some golf action to bet on this week, the third edition of The Match: Champions of Change goes Friday from Stone Canyon Golf Club in Arizona. Tiger Woods won’t be teeing it up this year but it should be interesting if nothing else as Peyton Manning and Steph Curry take on Phil Mickelson and Charles Barkley. With Barkley obviously being the weak link of the foursome, Manning and Curry were set as -172 favourite earlier this week. Interestingly enough, that line has since dipped to -150.

UFC Fight Night

As we’re nearing the end of the calendar year the depth of the UFC’s Fight Night cards are lacking and this week’s UFC Vegas 15 is no different. However, Saturday’s heavyweight main event featuring Curtis Blaydes against Derrick Lewis is definitely worth your time. Blaydes, the No. 2-ranked heavyweight comes in as a -370 favourites, while Lewis is a +255 underdog. If you like Lewis, you should be betting him sooner rather than later because that line could move the other way.
