The top two AFC favorites on odds boards will meet this Sunday night when the Kansas City Chiefs (+550 at press time) host the Buffalo Bills (+750), beginning at 8:20 PM ET on NBC. The Chiefs are 2.5-point favorites with a total of 56.5. That’s the highest over/under on the Week 5 NFL odds board.
These are two of the most potent offenses in the NFL, especially Kansas City’s, which exploded for seven touchdowns in their 42-30 win over the Philadelphia Eagles (+7.5 at home). The Chiefs improved to 2-2 and earned their first cover of the season, but this game could have gone either way; the Eagles had three potential touchdowns waved off, and ended up kicking three field goals. No such concerns in Buffalo. They’re 3-1 SU and ATS after destroying the Houston Texans 40-0 as 18.5-point home favorites. The Bills didn’t face much opposition from the Texans, who are down to rookie third-string quarterback Davis Mills (87 passing yards, zero TDs and four INTs on Sunday). The blowout allowed Buffalo to take QB Josh Allen out with eight minutes left and let Mitchell Trubisky perform mop-up duties.
