Today's Live Odds Lines Spreads
NFLFor the first time this season, favoured teams had a slight edge over underdogs last week in the world of NFL betting. Favourites were 10-6 straight up (SU) and it was an even split against the spread (ATS) at 8-8. Is this the week that the tides turn in a big way? Week 5 kicks off with a solid Thursday Night Football offering that has the 3-1 Los Angeles Rams as 2.5-point road favourites in Seattle. About 75 per cent of bettors like the Rams to cover against a Seahawks team that really likes the TNF spotlight. Seattle is 8-1-2 ATS in its last 11 Thursday games. Moving to Sunday, bettors still have a crush on the Arizona Cardinals. At 4-0 (3-1 ATS), the Cards are the only undefeated team in the NFL and 80 per cent of bettors like them to cash in again here. Interestingly enough, despite Arizona’s hot start, you can still get them at +1800 to win the Super Bowl. Bettors also like Tom Brady’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers coming of their big win in Foxboro. The Bucs are this week’s biggest favourite at -10 at home to Miami, but take note that Tampa is just 1-3 ATS this year. In a battle of two 3-1 teams, the betting public is firmly supporting the Green Bay Packers as 3-point favourites in Cincinnati, before Sunday’s action concludes with the week’s best matchup which has the Buffalo Bills visiting the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs remain Super Bowl favourites at +537 even though they’re 2-2 SU and 1-3 against the spread. Oddsmakers have the Chiefs as 3-point favourites in this spot, but more than 70 per cent of bettors like the underdog Bills to cover. This game also features the biggest total on the board at 56.5. This week’s Monday Night Football matchup has the Baltimore Ravens at -7 as they host the slumping Indianapolis Colts. It’s no surprise to see the vast majority of early bets supporting Baltimore. NHL The puck drops on the NHL regular season on Tuesday Oct. 12 when the Pittsburgh Penguins visit the two-time defending champion Tampa Bay Lightning and the Seattle Kraken open their inaugural season in Las Vegas against the Knights. Tampa Bay is currently second on the Stanley Cup odds board at +638, trailing the Colorado Avalanche at +495, while Vegas checks in at +748. The Toronto Maple Leafs check in at +1000, while the Edmonton Oilers are at +1600. Sports also offers odds on which Canadian team will win the Stanley Cup next, and the Oilers are the favourite there at +220, just ahead of Toronto at +240. Ottawa, which is a huge +41,600 underdog to win the Cup this season, is at +400 in this betting option.
