Today's Live Odds Lines Spreads
NFLAfter another week of underdog bettors making off like bandits (10-4-1 against the spread), we head into Week 9 of the NFL season with favoured teams covering just under 44 per cent of all games played so far. Home favourites are only 29-43-1 ATS so far. While this is a statistical situation that you’d expect to come back closer to a 50-50 split between underdogs and favourites, it’s hard to ignore through eight weeks. Still, there are a bunch of big point spreads on the board coming up. The Indianapolis Colts check in as 10.5-point favourites at home as they host the New York Jets on Thursday Night Football. The Jets are currently 0-3 ATS on the road, but they are coming off a big upset at Cincinnati as an 11.5-point underdog. On Sunday, you’ll also find the Dallas Cowboys at -9.5 against the visiting Denver Broncos and the Buffalo Bills as huge 14.5-point favourites on the road against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Those big spreads haven’t scared away early bettors. About three quarters of bets like the Cowboys to cover and more than 90 per cent of tickets are currently backing the Bills. Bettors also love the Green Bay Packers as 1-point underdogs at Arrowhead against the Kansas City Chiefs, the Los Angeles Rams (-7.5) to cruise past the Tennessee Titans (who will be without star running back Derrick Henry) on Sunday Night Football, and the Pittsburgh Steelers (-6.5) to take care of the Chicago Bears on MNF. NHL Sometimes puckline betting in the NHL can be as simple as betting on the best teams. That’s been the case so far with the 8-0 Carolina Hurricanes leading the league’s money standings at +5.52 units, followed by the 8-1 Florida Panthers at +4.33. Of course, it’s bound to get trickier from here on out when betting puck point spreads, but riding early streaks is a good way to pad your bankroll. For over/under bettors, check out the Dallas Stars, who have played under in all eight of their games and the New York Rangers, who have played under in eight of nine. UFC The UFC is back at Madison Square Garden on Saturday with a stacked card that includes a pair of title fights. In the main event, it’s a rematch between Colby Covington and Kamaru Usman for the welterweight title. This duo put on a show in their first fight with Usman scoring a late knockout. Now, Usman is set as -330 favourite. In the co-main it’s another rematch as Rose Namajunas puts her strawweight title on the line against Zhang Weili. Rose won via knockout thanks to a left high kick at UFC 261. This time around oddsmakers have it as a pick ‘em with both fighters at -115.
