NFL Odds: San Francisco 49ers Host Green Bay Packers in Week 3

Green Bay fans were unimpressed when the Packers debuted their season with a 38-3 loss to the New Orleans Saints. Fortunately for them, that loss was followed with a 35-17 victory against the Detroit Lions in Week 2. Now the Packers will head to California to face the 2-0 San Francisco 49ers for the Week 3 edition of Sunday Night Football.

The 49ers check in as 3.5-point home favourites as they look for a bigger challenge than what they’ve faced in Week 1 and 2. They’ll have to do it without key players, as three of their four running backs were roughed up in their Week 2 win over the Eagles. So far, RB JaMycal Hasty is the only one confirmed to be out for Sunday; Elijah Mitchell and Trey Sermon are both questionable.

The Packers looked like their old selves, with Aaron Rodgers racking up 255 passing yards and tossing for four touchdowns. Meanwhile, Green Bay’s defensive unit picked off Jared Goff once. The first half was a back-and-forth affair, but once the third quarter started, it was all Packers. Heading into Week 3, the Packers will certainly have the health advantage, with no injuries to their starters.
